Heather Byrd was motivated to have a career in trial law while serving on her high school Moot Court Trial Team for 3 years. After graduating from high school, Heather earned her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Fairfield University in 1993. During this time she also served as an intern with the Stamford Connecticut Probation Office. While serving as an intern, Heather became interested in the cases where criminal and family law overlapped, particularly in the areas of domestic violence and child abuse.
Heather earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Quinnipiac College of Law in Hamdan, Connecticut in 1995. She graduated in the top 1/3 of her class and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Practice. While working her way through law school, she interned for the private law firm of Cohen & Marlow in New Haven, Connecticut from 1993 to 1995.
Heather Byrd became a member of the Florida Bar in 1996 and began practicing in the former Law Firm of David L. Denkin, who is currently a County Court Judge.
