I am a forceful advocate on behalf of my clients -- in court and when negotiating for their best interests. But I will be straightforward and tell you what the evidence may - or may not - prove against you. If the government has a strong case, I will let you know and negotiate the best disposition. If there is a weak case against you or no case at all, I will counsel you to fight at trial and protect your innocence. Your case and circumstances are unique and I respect and appreciate that. I have been a public defender in New York and Puerto Rico, litigating thousands of state and federal felonies. I have tried cases before juries and judges. Before being a public defender, I served as a law clerk for then Chief-Justice of Puerto Rico's Supreme Court, Federico Hernandez-Denton. In addition to knowing my way around the courtroom, I can also rely on the black-letter law to get clients the realistic results for which they are entitled.
