Hired Attorney

I cannot say enough great things about this Law Firm. I had a really complex case and this Law Firm has completely risen up to the expectations I had after having many horrible experiences with family law attorneys. Stephanie Ransom has been my attorney and I can’t say. That you’ll always get a call back right away, but the fact that people are gonna complain about not getting a call back is kind of ridiculous. These are Family law attorneys, and they’re extremely busy. Anyways, I highly recommend this Law Firm..

Wonderful Law Firm, I have been thoroughly impressed and knowing how awful family law is makes this place even better.. they are ethical, honest and diligent.. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in an awful setting. Highly recommend !

Hired Attorney

Brian Lanz is an excellent trial attorney. I hired him for a highly contentious custody trial. Brian was able to immediately identify the issues in the case and bring them forward to court. Brian will look at every detail of the case to see how to ensure his clients prevail. His paralegals are knowledgeable and great supports as well. I am so happy that I hired the Lanz Office, I would highly recommend them.

When you find yourself in a legal situation hiring the right lawyer is incredibly important, and at least for my case Mr. Lanz was not the right lawyer for me. I feel a made a huge mistake in hiring him. I had consulted with another lawyer who told me I could most likely beat this case without a lawyer. Instead I hired Brian, we lost the case which unnecessarily lasted months, and I ended up owing him nearly $20k for his "services". He made clear mistakes in his work and his staff did not inform me in a timely manner of the records they were receiving from the county court office. I honestly feel I could have defended myself better without him and I also would have been informed directly from the courts rather than having court docs sent to his office where they would just sit for over a week with no actions being made. When you hire a lawyer they speak for you. There are many better lawyers in the Santa Rosa area and I would recommend you look elsewhere.

Hired Attorney

Bryan Lanz does not return calls, does not respond to e-mails, does not have a “win” disposition, and was a horrible recommendation from my mediator. Bryan does send timely invoices, does bill for everything imaginable, and does apologize profusely when you finally reach him. I fired Bryan, paid him an enormous amount of money for absolutely nothing, and replaced him with an attorney who represented me with strategy, care, and responsiveness. I would never send anyone to this attorney.

Hired Attorney

Brian Lanz has let me down beyond words. He sounded so determined to win my case like it was a cake walk that he had done time and time again. I felt confident till he called me a hour before family court and was asking me to send him pictures and text messages that my children's father had sent to my phone as proof of his lies to use against him but I was frustrated and confused cause I had already sent him what he was requesting from me weeks prior and uploaded them into his law office portal that they had assigned to my email so I could stay up to date on my case. Once in court he didn't stand up or fight for me and was agreeing to the other lawyers requests that I was not ok with without even confirming with me first. He is extremely hard to get a hold of and the ladies he has working for him in the office do all of his work for him and then he shows up at court reading notes they left for him. He isn't taking his job seriously. I hope he fights for others better then he has for me

Brian will seem smart and on it -- at first meeting. After you retain him, it's another story. He is impossible to reach, never prepares, is rude and arrogant, and is the least aggressive divorce lawyer you will ever find. If you hire him, be prepared for endless frustration, chasing him around, reminding him who you are, reminding him of the case details, suggesting direction, and basically...being an attorney because he is not. When I appealed to him with a list of all of the problems I was having with his representation, he simply said, "do you want me to resign your case?" Seriously. That was his response. I replaced him after over a year that cost me a lot of money. My new attorney was the exact opposite: prepared, responsive, strategic, caring, knowledgeable, and fair. Save yourself the pain that I endured and do your homework. Brian will hurt your case, not help it.
