Christine Sutherlin Ladwig is a skilled tax attorney and a shareholder in the firm’s Santa Rosa Beach office. Christine joined the firm in 2017 and focuses her practice on tax and estate planning for individuals and businesses, probate work, corporate and real property law, and community association law. Christine is licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama. Christine is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
For her undergraduate and law school degrees, Christine attended the University of Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration in 2010, having graduated magna cum laude through the Culverhouse School of Business, majoring in accounting. She received her juris doctorate degree in 2013, while earning a master’s degree in taxation (LL.M.) at the same time. Prior to joining Dunlap & Shipman, Christine worked at a large tax accounting firm in Birmingham, Alabama, where she focused her practice on corporate transactions and the taxation of trusts, estates, and partnerships.
Christine is active in her professional community. She was elected President of the Walton County Bar Association and served in that capacity from 2022 – 2023. Christine continues to be an active member of the Walton County Bar Association, member of the Business Law, Tax Law, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections of the Florida Bar, member of the Estate Planning Council of the Emerald Coast, Walton County Chamber of Commerce, and the North Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute.
In her spare time, Christine and her husband, Curtis, enjoy watching college football, traveling, and spending time with their two fur babies, Allie and Stella.
