Once again we find ourselves needing some legal advice for a family member's passing. I didn't hesitate to contact Noelle Gaston from the law offices of Christopher Biely. Our first experience with Noelle was my father's estate and in the 2.5 years that Noelle represented us, she was always knowledgeable and her follow through was always quick. RUN AWAY AS FAST/FAR AS YOU CAN! We hired this law firm (Noelle Gaston/HUSBAND Chris Biely) Dec2021,pd $1,500 up front filing/publications. A simple probate (1 house, siblings agreeing, my husband admin). She BACKDATED $2,585 extraordinary fees, after saying wasn’t any extraordinary yet, and she would tell us before. We contested, she said we could either pay $2,585 “min charges”or if we continued to contest she would seek $4,180. We contested and told her the court should decide the extraordinary(CA code), she refused to file the last court doc. She told us to voluntarily sign to relieve her as counsel. We asked her to finish. She filed a motion to be relieved and charged us another $1100. We hired another probate attorney. He asked for our remaining $466.89 balance, she refused to give OUR MONEY. Had to pay him $500/filing and also additional fees for representation. Her extraordinary fees now over $7000.00. Court ordered mediation. We paid$1966.89 extraordinary fees to just be done.
