Sara is a fifth-generation Santa Maria native and a St. Joseph High School alumna. She attended Santa Clara University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in philosophy. She worked at a family law firm in Santa Clara as her introduction to a legal career. She also spent two years interning in the Santa Barbara County Fourth District Supervisor’s office where she gained valuable insight into local government and community involvement
Sara went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, before returning to her roots on the Central Coast. While in law school, Sara worked for the Santa Barbara County public defender, and for multiple civil litigation firms in Arizona, doing everything from medical malpractice to trust litigation. However, she discovered her love and talent for working with contracts and found her passion in estate planning and business transactions.
Today, Sara’s practice is focused on estate planning and administration and general business with the goal of helping local families plan for future generations and ease the burden of losing a loved one.
Sara lives in Orcutt with her husband, Jake. Outside of work, Sara loves doing anything active, but she especially enjoys distance running, golfing with her family, and any excuse to spend time hiking in Mammoth Lakes, California.
