Joseph’s practice is focused on working with and advising clients on estate planning matters. This involves asset transfers, estate taxation, generation-skipping taxes, gift taxes and charitable planning. He utilizes a wide variety of tools to help his clients. Over the years, Joseph solved complex estate issues through traditional tools such as revocable living Trusts, Wills, and Powers of Attorney. Further, Joseph specializes in more creative aspects involving family partnerships, limited liability companies, and charitable remainder and lead Trusts.
Joseph works closely with and represents a number of charitable organizations in the Santa Barbara area in their planned giving programs. He enjoys the technical and tax aspects of the estate planning and administration processes. Additionally, Joseph appreciates the highly personal nature of working with individuals and families and the interpersonal dynamics that are part of the process.
