Reviews for Jon

Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.I struggled to get ahold of Jon most of the time and my case dragged on for many months longer than necessary. He failed to meet several court-ordered deadlines and my ex entered a judgment for attorney's fees against me due to his negligence and the additional time his lawyer spent trying to get the information Jon was supposed to send them. He was unprepared for mediation and encouraged me to accept an unfavorable settlement. He didn't file my divorce until I told him not to. Then he lied and said it was already filed.
I retained Jon Hogelin of Salcido Law Firm in December 2023 to register and modify a California custody order in Utah, paying a $5,000 retainer. Over the course of more than a year, Jon repeatedly assured me that filings were being made and progress was happening. In reality, the only document ever filed was factually incorrect—listing the wrong parties, referencing unrelated cases, and citing the wrong jurisdiction. The court rejected it, and my case never moved forward. Jon never informed me of the most basic requirement: I needed certified copies of my California court orders for registration in Utah. Because of this, my case was delayed nearly two years, putting my custodial rights at risk and forcing me to hire a new attorney to fix his mistakes. Communication was poor to nonexistent. I made countless calls and sent emails with little or no response. Despite this, I was billed for “review” and phone calls that produced nothing of value.
Jon failed to file the correct documents ontime. He cost me everything I owned dragged it out over a year. Because of his negigance the next attorney couldn't do anything. It cost me the ability to go to trial. Worst yet a convicted pediphole was living with my kids while I also lost custudy no trial. Everytime Jon screwed up he would side with my ex lawyer and blame me???? He never won once in over a year. This guy took almost 2 decades to become a lawyer. Unless you want to loose Never hire!
