I was referred to Erik by a couple co-workers that had him complete a will and trust for them. I'm so glad I asked who they used! Since I don't live close to his Sandy, Utah office, he met me at my place of employment to complete this as he travels out my way fairly often. We met once for him to collect information and review what I needed and another time for me to review what he'd put together for me and for me to sign them. Erik does a great job, is knowledgeable, fair and plenty competent in what he does. I'm relieved to have my will and trust completed and I'm already referring my friends and family to him!
Erik was referred by our financial advisor. Came to our home, wrote the trust, wills & etc. As we have grown over the time since, he has updated all of it. I feel so much better having this done!
We met him through a seminar he gave in Cedar City. He then scheduled an appointment and came to our home and gathered all the pertinent information needed to provide us with a Revocable Trust and Living Will. He was very professional and his fee was reasonable. A year later he did a follow-up to give us some new information and to update our Trust.
Eric C. Paulsen reviewed my fathers estate planning, (which is good - most want to completely re-do it) and verified it to be sound, effective and comprehensive. After my father died, as executor I proceeded to combine his outstanding assets named in the trust. One insurance company refused to pay his death benefit without a probate court document. The whole point of the living trust was to avoid the need for probate. They would however accept a lawyers notary. I contacted Eric Paulsen to see if he would notarize it. He said he would have to read it and it would cost three hundred dollars/hour. I am in the process of seeking legal counsel to create my own living trust, but I cannot consider a lawyer that does not accept his own work, nor is willing to do any due diligence in verifying his own work (if he questions it) for the sake of personal professionalism. I will not risk it, seeing the probability of this issue.
