Steven M. Chanley is a shareholder at Employer Advocates Group LC (EAG), where he focuses on representing and advising employers in all areas of labor and employment law. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Chanley has a proven track record in handling civil and administrative litigation matters, including wage-hour disputes, trade secret and non-competition cases, sexual harassment claims, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination. He also represents employers before the California Labor Commissioner, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Mr. Chanley is highly regarded in the legal community, holding an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which reflects his excellence in legal ability, ethics, and reliability. In addition to litigation, he provides strategic counsel on employment and personnel policies and conducts training seminars for supervisors and human resource managers.
A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (B.A., cum laude) and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D.), Mr. Chanley was recognized for his academic excellence with two American Jurisprudence awards and served as an extern at the National Labor Relations Board in San Francisco.
