Mr. Lee specializes in international intellectual property, trade secrets, competition and customs matters. His emphasis is on patent, trademark, copyright infringement litigation and licensing negotiation. He started his legal career as an Extern Clerk at the U.S. Federal District Court, Patent Agent at Sheldon & Mak and later joined Intel Corporation as Senior IP Attorney. In 1998, he founded Intellectual Property Law Group LLP in San Jose (Silicon Valley), now with offices in Southern California and Washington D.C. Active in his community, Mr. Lee served as a Planning Commissioner, Councilmember and the 57th Mayor of the City of Sunnyvale, located at the Heart of the Silicon Valley. With over two decades of service in the U.S. Navy Reserve Supply Corps, he is a Navy Commander and an Executive Officer of a Reserve Unit based in San Diego. In 2009 he served in Baghdad, Iraq as Chief of Drawdown Material Disposition & Policy and was awarded the Bronze Star. His other notable awards include: BEST UNDER 40 by National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (2006), Community Award by Asian Law Alliance (2010), NAACP Silicon Valley Legislator of the Year (2011) and Character Award by the Boy Scouts of America (2011). Mr. Lee speaks three Chinese dialects (Cantonese, Mandarin, Shanghainese), Spanish and rudimentary Arabic.
