Hired Attorney Elinor Leary

I was represented by the Veen Firm in a case that went to trial. My injury was caused by a law enforcement K9 that was running free in my neighborhood. The lead attorney representing me was Elinor Leary. She was amazing leading up to trial and her trial techniques were even more amazing. The other attorney that sat in with us was Cliff Smoot. He was a great addition to the team and helped Elinor throughout the trial. They make a great team. Kudos to all the people behind the scenes that helped as well. I recommend this firm 100%.

Hired Attorney Elinor Leary

I had originally hired a lawyer with no federal court experience so he hired Ms. Leary as a sub. I had moved out of state so we convened by video chat. Ms Leary told me if I went to court, I would get nothing. Her demeanor went from hostile to congenial frequently. She never explained to me the laws concerning oral agreements or anything pertaining to law at all. She and my primary Attorney allegedly arranged a video chat with the Doctor who confirmed I would eventually need a knee transplant! It was a slip and fall case in a store that resulted in a cracked patella and required immediate knee surgery. The video chat with the Doctor cost was $1000. Ms. Leary and my primary then informed me deadlines had passed and the chat with the Doctor was meaningless. I had turned the disbursement of funds over to the Veen Firm because my primary Attorney did not appear to be trustworthy. They then decided to charge me $1000. for the chat anyway.

Hired Attorney Elinor Leary

Beware, this lawyer was completely incompetent throughout my case. I do not recommend her. She had a terrible strategy and didn’t do her due diligence in investigating my medical professional’s backgrounds and much more. I have my faults in my case but Tahoe is suppose to be a professional with credibility but showed otherwise. My friends, who are lawyers, asked her simple questions and inquired about their work ethic to which she had no answer to. This was a painful process that impacted me and my family. I should have followed my gut and fired her at the first sign of their incompetence. Her firm had agreed to reduced their outrageous fees because of how incompetent they were.
