Hired Attorney Vilmarie Cordero

While I understand that no attorney is obligated to take every case, Vilmarie Cordero’s refusal to represent me was both disappointing and unprofessional. My case was straightforward and supported by overwhelming evidence, including HR’s written admission, surveillance footage, and multiple witness statements. Despite this, after initial communication and review, she rejected my case citing “insufficient evidence,” a claim that is not only incorrect but disingenuous. Moreover, Ms. Cordero stated she could not litigate against OSHA, which is understandable, but this misses the core issue: holding my employer accountable for their admitted negligence and unjust reprimand. This employer-specific problem clearly falls within her expertise, and she had the legal power to act. While lawyers are free to choose their cases, professional ethics demand transparency and respect for a client’s time and trust.
