Went through multiple attorneys. Steve Bishop was the only one who listened and got the results I expected.

Mr. Bishop has always taken the time to thoroughly explain each step of the process, and also caution what possible negative outcome or delay might arise. I felt well informed and prepared for a variety of responses from the opposing party, and was assured there was a plan of action waiting for each of them. He listened carefully to my concerns or apprehensions, and if further research was needed to give me an answer, it was usually handled immediately or within the same day.

I have five different attorneys who represent me. Steve is one of the best. To say he is deft at devorce is an understatement. He knows the laws and how to deal best with each one. Steve was able to save me close to a million dollars and was able to get my son returned to me, which as a father is almost impossible. Steve specialty is to represent high income earners. Steve is not cheap, but to have gotten my son is pricless.

Although he is a bit pricy at 350 dollars an hour, he made my divorce process much smoother and in the long run saved me over 15,000 dollars in alimony. He is very receptive and knowledgeable about marital law and dissolutions of marriage. He always contacted me promptly after I left a message with his secretary. He was also very lenient with my financial situation due to my divorce. I would highly recommend Steven Bishops services.

He is a very caring attorney who explains how things work well and ensures his clients are prepared. He may actually be a tad too talkative, which can add to his tab! I think the hourly rate was a bit high.

Steve is a sprawling "wolf in a lamb skin". He is a very skilled con artist. the 1st few times you meet / talk with him, he has the ability & skills to make you think he is the best and most honest attorney ever lived. once you sign the contract & your credit card receipt for the retainer, you are now part of his cash cow. He has 2 employees that help him run a tight scam. they are partially brain washed and partially frozen by fear intimidation. If you need a good attorney, run away fast.

Not familiar with juvenile process.
Should have recommended another attorney with this type of experience. Charged outrageous fees.

STEVEN MARK BISHOP [#81618], 62, of San Diego, was placed on one year of probation and faces a one-year suspension if he does not comply with the terms. He was also ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Nov. 13, 2014. Bishop stipulated that he withdrew funds when he knew his client disputed his claim to fees and costs instead of placing the disputed funds in his client trust account. Beginning in 2010, Bishop represented the wife in a divorce case and entered into a lien agreement whereby he would collect fees and costs from any recovery he obtained on her behalf. In October of that year, his office mistakenly charged $2,500 to her credit card. That December, the client fired Bishop and hired a new attorney, who requested that Bishop transfer funds he was holding on the client’s behalf into a court-segregated trust account as well as provide an accounting. Instead, Bishop sent a check for a lesser amount with a letter explaining that he withdrew his outstanding fees and costs from the entrusted funds. At the time, Bishop knew about the dispute. After Bishop learned of the State Bar’s investigation into the matter, he returned the disputed funds to his client trust account. On April 25, 2014, he refunded $5,578.89 to the client, which represented the $2,500 that was erroneously charged to her credit card account and money he withdrew from the court-ordered segregated trust account. In mitigation, Bishop had no prior record of discipline, entered into a pretrial stipulation with the State Bar and presented evidence of his good character.
