I am very happy with the work Jon Rigney, APC did for me in getting my divorce filed properly and judgment entered as quickly as possible. They answered all of my questions and helped me understand my custody, support and property division issues.

The initial consultation went well and I had a good feeling about the firm. However, that was the last time that I got any information about my case, except what was listed in their invoices. Aside from requests for information, some of which was not relevant and should have been known, there was no feedback. Even when requested, both verbally and in written form by me. Consultation between the lawyers was held and I was only given the invoice but not any conclusions drawn. I do not know who to blame, between the lawyer, the paralegal or the main lawyer/manager, as there was no communication to me. The buck stops at the desk of the manager, as it is his job to oversee the company. He is good at the organization of collecting money, as the billing always included every minute of time they could spend. Not Recommended.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
