Moore, Schulman & Moore, APC was founded in January 2001 in San Diego County.

The firm's founding partners have developed a strong philosophy based upon integrity, respect, and thorough preparation. The firm strives to provide aggressive legal advocacy tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

All of the firm's attorneys are active in the local and state bar associations and two are active in the national bar association. Each of the firm's partners are Certified Family Law Specialists and regularly serve as Family Law Settlement Conference Judges. Being confident and prepared is what having Moore, Schulman and Moore on your side does for you, even in a pandemic. Dave Schulman and Jillian Minter helped me gain the best possible outcome for my child in a difficult, custody battle that included moving out of state. I worked with Lauren A Schmidt and her team. I was so impressed with Lauren and her team's responsiveness, communication, and ability to interface with the other lawyers with whom I was working. Hired Attorney Erik Moore

Erik is specific and to the point, nothing candy coated, he tells you just like it is. Erik is knowledgeable about every aspect of your case. He listens and deciphers through items that may be most important to you but knows what is most important factors to the judge to win your case. Erik is profession and articulate and if you have a fighting chance to win your case he will win it for you.

Hired Attorney David S. Schulman

Dave's experience with custody issues was vital in my case. He was great at directing me to take the drama and emotion out of my case and helped me to focus on the actual issues and what my realistic options were. His advice helped to save me a considerable amount of money and valuable time. Months after my issues were resolved he took the time to call to see how my son and I were doing.

This review is for anyone—especially those in the LGBTQ+ community—who believes this firm will support you through a divorce with care, competence, or even basic professionalism. I was in a vulnerable place, navigating a same-sex dissolution of marriage after a nearly decade-long relationship. I needed help securing temporary support, amending my preliminary filings, and addressing a serious emotional loss when my spouse took our shared dog without notice or consent. Moore, Schulman & Moore did none of that. They did, however, deplete my $5,000 retainer within 2 months—and ultimately billed me over $7,000 by the time I terminated them in December 2023. They promised to: • Amend my initial petition and disclosures • File motions to protect my rights • Secure the temporary support I needed to stabilize Instead, they: • Filed nothing to recover my dog, despite weeks of evidence and emotional distress • Misgendered me as “the wife” on court filings, blamed it on automation, and nev

Hired Attorney Erik Moore

I would definitely not recommend Erik. He draws out divorce making it lengthy (ours was over 3 years). He is unresponsive, uncooperative, and unprofessional. He ignores and does not reply to emails or phone calls. He obstructed and stalled the divorce process. Each time we made an offer, it would take him several weeks to respond, one time over two months. My ex used his services and even reached out to my attorney on more than one occasion because Erik (his attorney) was not responding to him. Erik turned in discovery late and had embellished numbers on other documents (for assets and my salary, although he had the facts on documents). He was not prepared for mediation and missed a large part because he didn’t read the summary brief beforehand, making him and his client (my ex) ill-prepared and mediation lasting several hours longer than necessary. He lacked integrity in his dealings. Look elsewhere and save yourself money and energy.
