Michael Crowley is very competent and capable Lawyer who possesses a great knowledge of the law. He is very professional,experienced, and understanding. He will go above and beyond for his clients.
Based on my experience and personal interactions, I did not find Mr. Crowley to be trustworthy.
I hired Michael Crowley in 2010. Told him I wanted to go to trial. I never deviated from that; I was not interested in a plea deal. The trial was set for July 7, 2010. I was in Illinois awaiting trial. I would need to travel from Illinois to San Diego for the trial. I traveled out to San Diego with my Dad in July for trial when I learned that the trial date was going to be continued (didn't get the information in time about the continuance so money was wasted on travel expenses). I recently saw the paperwork why the date was continued. The detective in the case was on vacation (July 2-11). In that paperwork, there were other dates included when the detective would not be available ("Out of the country Aug 30 - Oct 6th"). The second trial date was set for September 21 even though Mr. Crowley knew that trial was never going to happen (detective would be gone from Sept 21 - Oct 6). The paperwork from 9/1/2010 showed "potential change of plea on the day of jury trial." That was news to me.
If you want to end up in Jail for something you didn't do, hire this guy. Otherwise you should hire someone, better yet anyone else. You would be better off with a public defender.
This man is senile, he absolutely has no clue what is going on and confuses peoples names and cases while taking exorbitant sums of money. Your best bet is to hire somebody who won't croak before your case is complete and works with you on the price.
