I reached out to Josh Gruenberg for a consultation and was promptly asked to call him on his personal cell phone, without any upfront explanation of fees or how the consultation would be billed. The entire call lasted only 9 minutes, during which I felt rushed and unable to properly explain my situation as he kept interrupting with questions. Toward the end of the call, he informed me that he would have to bill me because, in his words, I ‘couldn’t answer a simple question.’ When I expressed concerns about not being informed of billing practices upfront, he abruptly hung up on me. This experience left me feeling disrespected. Transparency and professionalism are essential in legal consultations, and I did not feel that was upheld in this interaction.
As a former client- I am nothing but dissatisfied with his overall conduct. Mr. Gruenberg will promise anything to hook you as a client and will never deliver. I wish I had hired someone else several years ago. Josh Gutenberg is rude and condescending and will not be bothered to take the time to answer questions or give explanations that are needed. He does not have a good reputation in the San Diego area and his skills and lack of talent is mocked by opposing council. He charges a hefty amount
