I’d NOT recommend John McGlothlin for a divorce. He’s weak- a milksop is what I told him he was. Retainers were eaten up by slow action, and when it finally came down to trying to settle he was limp. I needed an updated appraisal for our property and when the exes attorney said no- that was the end of the discussion. As it turns out it cost me about $300k in the settlement. I knew I was working with an old and low value but, until tax values came out, I had no idea how much I’d lost. I know tax values aren’t in stone but the difference in the old appraisal and the new values is sooo wide it makes me sick. His cavalier attitude is maddening. His lack of performance cost me horribly. There’s not enough space here to tell you other items of value he discounted. DO NOT use this guy. He’s a real estate attorney that takes divorce cases. He doesn’t tell you that when you call to interview him and retain him. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. From reviews I should have hired his partner Mrs. Wilde
