John G. Perez Jr. was born and raised on the south side of San Antonio, where he learned the value of helping others from an early age. His father's advice to "do for others who cannot do for themselves" guided him toward a career in Criminal Defense. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, gaining insights into human behavior that would later aid him in understanding jury dynamics during trial proceedings.
John returned to San Antonio to attend Saint Mary’s University School of Law, where his passion for Criminal Defense solidified. He gained valuable experience through internships with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office and a prominent local defense firm, allowing him to see both sides of the legal process.
Since earning his Juris Doctor and passing the State Bar Exam, John has successfully handled over 1,000 criminal cases, ranging from murder and DWI to sexual assault and drug possession. With nearly a decade of legal practice, John remains committed to protecting the rights of individuals against the complexities of the criminal justice system, embodying the principle of doing for others what they cannot do for themselves.
