Ty Groat was assigned the amicus attorney for my son but seemed more interested in taking our money. He will start seeming genuinely interested, but will do very little to actually help. When I expressed concern for my son's living arrangements, it took a month of begging by myself and my attorney to get him to conduct a home visit. When he finally was interested in doing so, he called me to ask for my ex's address (information he should have already known) and billed me for it! Then he decided to leak the information of his visit to the opposing counsel, giving my ex time to clean up the violations. She later admitted to the violation on the stand, no thanks to Ty. He met multiple times behind closed doors at the court house with my ex, but never with us. He acted as her second lawyer. We eventually won custody, no thanks to this man! Steer clear of him!
