I've utilized VF dating back to 2009 when our COA hired them for a construction defect lawsuit after firing the previous attorney. The previous attorney had three boxes of "evidence" and information. Lawsuit was tricky as the statue of limitations passed. The case was complex; during their discovery phase, they received a huge amount of documents. Long story short, the developer and contractors reached a settlement agreement for $4 million. Mike Vial was amazing. VF also practices personal estate planning and other business services. Most recently Rob Fotheringham prepared my estate planning documents, including establishing a trust, wills, and various powers of attorney. He was thorough, and knew exactly how to structure the documents so that the non-profit that is receiving the majority of $$ won't pay taxes on my gift.

All of the people in the office were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to be sure we had all of the information we needed.

VF is counsel for my HOA. Under VF's counsel the board started a campaign of hate against myself and my friend, Kenny. Kenny was ultimately murdered by one of the owners at the condominium complex. I fully believe that if VF had warned the board away from libel, slander, and discrimination that my friend Kenny would still be alive.

I have had the terrible misfortune of encountering this firm in two housing situations. They are hideously, corrupt and blatantly so. They have no compunction about attacking individuals they represent, and they lie with the greatest ease I have ever experienced from any business ever. These people tried to take my home over a $276 gym membership that I didn’t know I was supposed to pay. Five months later they claimed the bill was $3700 and they had done so many actions to contact me. They even said they called me and yet my phone number had changed 45 days prior to them receiving my collection—a collection that is in question. When I pointed out that my phone number had been changed, she tried to increase the amount of the bill, although I disputed line items on the ledger, all the line items on the ledger! They had already secretly obtained a lien against my home (five months after I bought it) and were geared up to foreclose on my house over it.

Mr. Harker was our HOA attorney and I was his pro se opposition. His case was dismissed in Superior Court of Washington (Clark County) District 7 under CR12 (b)(6), CR8 (a)(2) and judicial estoppel for inconsistent position. During the lawsuit Mr. Harker suffered from lack of ethical behavior and on March 26, 2021 . Mr Harker was sanctioned under CR11 for a frivolous lawsuit by the Superior Court of Washington. I would recommend not to employ him.
