I too join the "dropped the ball" club. I hired Ms. Corporone to pursue what should have been a simple child support increase. Gee thanks for taking my 5000$ and never getting back to this struggling single mom. After 6 months of no response to emails, calls and smoke signals, I received a letter asking me if I wanted my business to follow her to her new firm. Hard pass. She used up the majority of my retainer of course.
We are trying to get in touch with anyone at her law firm and any legal assistant with please HELP in the subject line. Our emails have gone unanswered for months. Now we have a hearing end of April and we have sent 3 request to PLEASE HELP again in the subject line and cannot get a response from anyone. She is too busy and does not want to help us, however she gets her money when a bill is sent. She has too much going on in her personal life that is not fair to her clients being deprived.
I had 2 cases. Didn't even file an answer in one until after opposing council had filed for default! Showed up at court after having retained her 2 months previous, just to file a continuance and ask for discovery charging me $1000! Then 3 months later showed up at court on crutches, said she couldn't do court today so just filed another continuance and charged me over $1000, yes for her health problems! Then bailed on me!
Wrote her a dozen letters without so much as a response of any kind!
