Joshua N. Randall

Mr. Randall's practice focuses on assisting companies and individuals develop and strategically use their intellectual property rights. Mr. Randall has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, conducting patentability searches, patent infringement and patent validity evaluations, providing counseling on technology innovation issues, preparing cease and desist letters and product clearance opinions, and supporting intellectual property litigation. Mr. Randall's experience extends to a wide range of technologies within the mechanical, electro-mechanical, and biomedical arts, including numerous medical device technologies, optical films, power sports vehicles, fire safety systems, dental equipment, filtration and fluid flow systems, computer hardware, printer and copier equipment, paper manufacturing and dispensing equipment, footwear, ATV accessories and other outdoor equipment. Mr. Randall has represented a number of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individual and start-up companies. Before joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Randall was an intellectual property attorney and law clerk for Merchant & Gould, PC in Minneapolis. Before practicing law, Mr. Randall was a design engineer for 3Com, Inc., working on the design and integration of new PCMCIA technologies.
