Very understanding and direct with answers which was greatly appreciated
We just served legal notice on the tenant only 3 days ago.
When I first started talking to Howard to see if he could represent us as landlords, he gave us a thumbnail range of costs to evict our tenant. And he stuck to his price range, with a monthly statement of activity, and billable costs.
1. FAILED to show up to court for a scheduled court date.
2. Failed to discuss visitation and/or support.
3. Didn't know details of the case months into the case. Stating "oh, we're playing catch up, so he hasn't been able to read your case."
4. IN a meeting, he lectured me on what I DID WRONG, not discussed what HE can do to get me custody or even VISITATION with my child.
5. HE quit DAYS before the final court appearance. I ended up having to represent myself in court.
I hired Howard Collins to fight for custody for me against my ex wife. Instead I got a lawyer who didn't know the details of my case when appearing in court, called the wrong people, charged for meetings that never happened, and quit before final court appearance. Telling me to go find another lawyer. I don't know many people who can come up with thousands of dollars to hire lawyers, but I could barely do it the first time, let alone a 2nd time. The result? I ended up acting as my own lawyer
