On my initial visit to Poole & Pereira on May 1, 2008, I sought Paul Pereira's assistance in a binding arbitration case. With his assistance, I prevailed in the arbitration. Since my initial visit, I have sought his legal advice on other issues. Paul and his entire staff are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Paul is the only attorney I would want to defend me in any court proceedings. He has always provided me with factual information and applicable law to the case at hand.
I do not have any issue with the quality or knowledge of counsel. However, billing process is awful. Will not inform you of your balance. Asked about balance and was informed "next week." 6 weeks later received invoice which had used all of the retainer. Previously, billed after months and retainer was gone and an additionally $2K billed! Informed they were never told of tentative agreement, 6 weeks prior they wrote motion on tentative agreement! Needs more attention to client's requests.
