Grant Winter is the Managing Attorney of Mastagni Holstedt’s Civil Litigation Department. His practice focuses on personal injury, civil rights, employment law, labor law, and appellate practice. Grant is an experienced PORAC Legal Defense Fund panel attorney and is admitted in all of the U.S. District Courts in California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His defense practice is heavily focused on defense of civil rights claims made against law enforcement officers who are sued in their individual capacities. Grant is also a POST certified instructor and he has conducted trainings including defense of claims brought under 42 U.S. Code § 1983.
Prior to joining Mastagni Holstedt, APC, Grant handled civil litigation of many varieties, including employment disputes such as workplace harassment and discrimination, contract disputes, disputes between real estate developers, litigation against debt collectors and telemarketers, legal malpractice litigation, and personal injury matters. On different occasions, he has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants.
