Steve Cohen gives lawyers a bad name a horrible name and the legal system in general. He doesn’t communicate. He flat out lies to judges and is disrespectful to opposing counsels and parties involved. He tries to prolong cases just to keep taking peoples money. My friend did a custody case with him and he is not even in family law. He claimed he wanted what was in the best interest of the child. He was attacking one of the parties mental health over and over to the point it was slander. He lied in court documents and motions and never had proof to back anything up. His client asked him to wrap up his case and he per usual gave him bad legal advice just to keep it going to make money and didn’t honor his clients wishes. Filed motions without his clients permission and tried to take a child from a parent who was a healthy parent even after having mental health exams done and passing with flying colors. Did not hold his client accountable for not following court orders. NEVER USE HIM
Disingenuous posturing with the court personnel, opposing counsel, and all parties concerned. To continue on in representation when he knows full well he is selling long list of flat out documented lies at the hope opposition will fold under pressure. Shameful that these types practice purely for self enrichment while adding destructive layers to & at the emotional and financial expense of, litigants involved.
