Action brought on behalf of a young child who was severely burned by a Molotov Cocktail explosive device that was thrown into the bedroom of his family’s apartment by an unapprehended perpetrator. The jury awarded $10,000,000 in compensatory and punitive damages, which award was reduced by the trial judge to $2,400,000 and affirmed on appeal.
