About Christina Murphy

Christina Murphy is an associate in the Rogers office, where she focuses her practice on Wills, Trusts & Estates, business transactions, construction and real estate, and corporate and partnership matters. Drawing on an extensive background in executive leadership, business development, and in-house legal counsel, Christina brings a practical, business-minded perspective to helping clients navigate estate planning and long-term care matters, as well as complex legal and operational challenges.

Before entering the legal profession, Christina served in senior leadership roles across a variety of industries, including construction, real estate development, property management, and professional services. This hands-on business experience gives her a unique understanding of the challenges organizations face, allowing her to provide legal guidance that aligns with both operational objectives and long-term business strategy.

Christina’s practice is informed by her experience working directly with executive leadership teams on high-profile transactions, business growth initiatives, risk management, and corporate decision-making. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, she served as Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for The Martin Organization and Martin Capital, where she acted as a senior advisor to company leadership, supported executive decision-making, coordinated outside counsel, and assisted with internal legal matters. She also oversaw business development efforts and worked closely with stakeholders to evaluate risk, review contracts, and support strategic business initiatives.

Following law school, Christina continued to build upon her legal and business experience as Senior Advisor and Executive Vice President of Business Development for a national property management company, where she partnered with executive and operations teams on matters involving large-scale commercial developments. Most recently, she served with another law firm supporting litigation matters through legal research, discovery, drafting, and pre-litigation analysis.

Christina’s corporate experience provides valuable insight into how businesses operate, make decisions, and manage risk. Having worked both inside organizations and as legal counsel, she understands the importance of delivering practical solutions that balance legal considerations with business realities.

Committed to service both inside and outside the profession, Christina has dedicated significant time to community and leadership initiatives throughout her career. She has been actively involved in programs that support and develop women business leaders and has contributed to numerous nonprofit organizations, including CASA and Legal Aid. Her community involvement has also included leadership roles with civic, educational, and charitable organizations throughout Arkansas.

Christina earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where she served in a variety of leadership roles and gained valuable corporate legal experience through externships with Walmart’s Ethics and Compliance, Responsible Sourcing Investigations, and Health and Wellness divisions, as well as a judicial externship with the Benton County Circuit Court. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Chinese Studies from the University of Colorado Denver.
