Donna K. Rismiller is the founder of the firm and is an accomplished litigator and collaborative resolution professional. Ms. Rismiller was awarded a Bachelor of Sciences Degree (cum laude) from the University of Maryland in Her undergraduate education and training in the fields of economics and business management have equipped her to uniquely assess the opportunity costs for her clients when making critical decisions that impact their and their family’s long-term welfare.

Ms. Rismiller is admitted to practice in Maryland and in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Hired Attorney Donna K. Rismiller

Donna's name was on a referral list provided to me by the Family Justice Center. I was seeking an experienced attorney on issues related to domestic violence. After having an intake session with Donna, I entered into a retainer with her, hiring her to represent me in a highly contested protective order appeal at the circuit level (I was the petitioner and had been successful in securing the original district court protective order but was looking for a trauma-informed lawyer for the appeal). By the time I began working with Donna I had spoken to many attorneys and had worked with 2 different ones, but with Donna's compassionate, in-depth understanding of coercion and control within domestic violence cases, I knew she was the most perfect person that I, a victim of abuse, needed to advocate for me through the appeal process and on the day of the hearing. She is extremely competent, trustworthy, and was respectful of my choices; she had my best interests in mind and heart. So grateful!

I have been a client of Donna Rismiller and RLG for several years dealing with an abusive, high-conflict ex-husband.
