Diamant Gerstein, LLC is a family-run law firm, where we pride ourselves on treating our clients like family. At our Firm, our qualified attorneys can help you with anything from domestic issues, such as divorce, child custody, child support and peace and protective orders, to criminal issues, traffic tickets, and DUI/DWI. In addition, we handle complex civil cases, personal injury cases, business and contract law issues, and complex tax issues that arise both in divorce and in real estate transactions

At Diamant Gerstein, LLC, we work on cases as a team. Sharon T. Diamant is a former prosecutor at the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office and is a trained and skilled litigator. Jason P. Gerstein is a Georgetown Law School graduate in complex tax and finance and can assist in divorce cases that have complex tax and business issues. While we do not hesitate to aggressively litigate in court to achieve our clients’ goals, we know that sometimes they can benefit from alternative forms of dispute resolution. When it is in the client’s best interest, Diamant Gerstein, LLC uses mediation, arbitration, and other solutions to successfully settle divorce-related property disputes or to resolve issues related to issues of custody and child support. For some clients, a collaborative law approach to divorce is the best option to resolve all divorce-related issues without any adversarial litigation.

I was forced into a divorce and really didn't know what to expect in my case. With all of the unknowns Sharon was very compassionate and knowledgeable and helped me with direction and advice on how to best proceed with my case. I am hopeful I will never need to use the service again, but if I would I know where I would turn.

You want to have a lawyer if you plan to divorce. There are many lawyers to choose from, but not all are excellent. Sharon Diamant is outstanding. She’s so much more than a competent attorney, she is a superhero. My divorce was painful and messy. Sharon defended me with ferocity, and she put me in my place at the same time. Exactly what I needed. My bruised ego and hurt feelings screamed for vengeance, but she calmly and rationally explained that my moral righteousness would cost me untold thousands of dollars and prolong the separation I most desperately needed. Thank G-d I listened. Sharon excels at communication. She answers her own phone! She texts when she can’t talk. She’s honest and direct. She sets high standards for herself and her clients. Sharon will not waste your time and money pursuing actions that she does not support. Not a few times Sharon offered to refer me to an attorney who would do my bidding because she refused to do it. Sharon is a warrior.

Sharon helped me through an extremely contentious divorce and helped find a reasonable middle ground that allowed me to move forward as a single dad. Her energy, warmth, responsiveness, and professionalism are extraordinary. She is incredibly accessible and typically answers emails and texts within an hour, if not minutes. Finally, her goal is to find the best resolution for her clients at the most reasonable cost - she looks for cost effective options and isn't one of those attorneys who simply wants to drive up her billable hours. I wouldn't think twice about hiring her again.

It was such a pleasure to work with Sharon Diamant. She always communicated with me and always kept me informed of any changes or any information that I needed. I knew from our first initial conversation that I had picked the right lawyer to represent my children. I truly appreciate all of the hard work, time and effort that she put into this case. I utilized Mrs Diamant's services for my divorce case and I am 100% confident that I could not have picked a better lawyer to represent me. Sharon was always available when I needed her and she handled difficult negotiations throughout the process with ease. My divorce was a hard experience however the advice and insight that Mrs Diamant offered me was a tremendously help to get me through it. Ms. Diamant came through for me on 2 separate occasions when I was down to the wire on court deadlines and no one else would assist with reasonably priced services. Ms. Diamant was personable, empathetic, and compassionate and made some very difficult times much more palatable at an affordable price. Would highly recommend her.

My husband and I hired Sharon for a Contempt/Modification of Visitation against my husband's former spouse due to her withholding the children. Sharon was there every step of the way. If you need help with any domestic related issues you NEED to have Sharon on your side! She has been the voice my husband has needed all these years dealing with court and custody. She will fight for what is right and will help those fathers in need who desperately want to be a part of their children's lives.
