Lori Nevias graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in May 1994, and was admitted to practice in February 1995. With a background working for the insurance giant A.I.G. prior to law school, she began legal practice in the office of Jack Lester, a noted community rights/zoning law attorney in Manhattan. She later moved on to the offices of Goldstein & Greenlaw, a prominent co-op and real estate law firm, in Kew Gardens, New York. Prior to entering into her own practice in 2002, Ms. Nevias also worked for the well-respected commercial litigation firm of Reisman, Peirez and Reisman in Garden City, and Bellavia & Gentile, (formerly Bellavia & Kassel), specializing in trusts and estates, commercial litigation, Lemon Law defense, and plaintiff’s personal injury, in Mineola.

I would like to offer a professional endorsement for Lori Nevias.{para}For me, to join others in offering a positive assessment of her skills as an accomplished, confident, communicative legal advisor and litigator is inadequate.{para}Briefly restated, my fiance at the time (now my wife) and I were experiencing a very troubling series of legal issues involving a very complex and contentious real estate matter. This experience was an extremely frustrating and emotional time for us. To further complicate matters, I was a rather demanding client. Ms. Nevias not only handled the associated legal issues skillfully, but us as her clients with confidence, understanding and compassion. {para}We have since moved to another state. However, we would not hesitate to retain her in the future as we have referred others who would need a New York attorney in her area of practice.

Hired Attorney Lori Nevias

My father is a senior citizen who suffers from emphysema and is largely incapacitated by rheumatoid arthritis. He recently inherited over $90,000 from a deceased relative in a distant part of the state, but was confused regarding the process required to claim the money. He was also physically unable to travel to the necessary offices. He retained Lori Nevias to represent him for this purpose. She explained the process to him, and then carried it out on his behalf.

Ms. Nevias stepped in and negotiated a settlement in a case that had languished in the Court for years, and which I had no chance of winning due to our prior attorney not explaining, in honesty, what our real position was. I remain eternally grateful for Ms. Nevias' honesty, clarity of communication, and her incredible ability to make legal issues understandable for her clients. You will always receive a prompt response that addresses your questions, concerns.
