She is very competent and listens well. She was able to offer many valid options and was concerned about doing things properly.
Do yourself a favor, when your real estate agent suggests a "great lawyer" for you, do your homework and look them up first. I chose to blindly trust my agent and used amy on their suggestion. Boy was that wrong. Of the 5 real estate agents I've used across the country, amy was by far the worst. She was slow to communicate, has a shockingly low knowledge of real estate law and was very unprofessional. Whenever I could actually get ahold of amy, she was never aware of the details of our case and would forget key factors or deadline dates associated with our case, spewing off excuses like, "Oh sorry, I’m getting all these cases mixed up in my head." like that was somehow ok. Too busy to handle my case with the appropriate attention is what that really means. If you don't want to be important or taken care of with respect and professionalism, then by all means, hire amy. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and trust all the other reviews as well and move on to the next option.
Amy did a very poor job of representing us. She was slow to respond to emails, she never answered her office phone, and she choose to not give us a work cell phone number to call or text meaning we could never reach her when we needed her. Her only form of communication was via email, which she would wait 5 days to reply to on average. Any time we tried to call her out on this and politely ask that she be more responsive she would get very angry and defensive and spew out excuses about having too many clients or not enough time. I believe if you pay someone for their work, especially hourly rate when most real estate lawyers charge a flat rate, then you should be getting a response within 24 hours. Every. Time. Drop clients if you have too many, these are her problems not the clients but Amy will take it out on you the client. Don't waste your time with this one, the character limit cut me off but trust me, I could go on forever about how poor of a lawyer and person amy is.
Went to Amy to get help getting our deposit back plus other owed monies from a condo owner. She met with us, we paid the $100 consult fee. She sent 1 letter out on our behalf and never replied to any of our emails or phone calls after that. We were ready to go to court and were under the inpression thats th direction she was taking us in, but boy were we wrong. Will never go to her again, or refer her to anyone we know.
