Hired Attorney Don Jorgensen

We started the SSI appeal case (ALJ) almost two years ago. My son is a young adult with autism, and his case should be fairly clear to someone competent to take the case. During that time, we'd never hear anything, and it turned out all the documents and evidence I provided to them were either lost or not looked for in the files (laziness?). They only finally started contacting us after we were scheduled for a phone hearing, which is not what we wanted. We wanted video or in-person. They didn't care what we wanted. They waited to do everything at the very, very last minute (less than two weeks before hearing). Suddenly I'd start getting rude demands from Janette for things I'd already provided, or she'd claim she couldn't use anything that wasn't medical records. We weren't applying for a medical disability. That's SSDI. It was for a developmental disability: SSI. They didn't know about SEIE, ABLE accounts, or really even autism. This was not a good experience at all. Go elsewhere.

Lawyer sent to represent me for my hearing in front of the judge was not familiar with my case at all. The 10 mins. we had to discuss my case he was rude, insulting & completely uninformed & should not have been in the chambers with me.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
