Hired Attorney

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dawn Sáenz. I paid a $5,000 retainer and later received an additional invoice for approximately $2,260, yet I felt I received very limited legal services in return. During the representation, I never met with Ms. Sáenz in person and never received a direct phone call from her. Most communication was handled through staff, often with significant delays. Despite providing the requested information and documents, I experienced ongoing communication issues and felt my concerns were not being addressed promptly. Most frustrating was that after paying substantial legal fees, a motion was filed to withdraw from my case, leaving me without representation during a critical stage of the proceedings. Based on my experience, I found the communication, responsiveness, and overall client service unsatisfactory and would not recommend this firm.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
