Attorney Joseph Cantor joined Cantor Grana Buckner Bucci in 2017, becoming a partner of the firm in 2022. Joseph is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.
Joseph was named a Partner of Cantor Grana Buckner Bucci in 2022, previously known as Cantor Grana Buckner Bucci from 2017-2021 and Cantor Stoneburner Ford Grana and Buckner, from 2011-2016. Along with his vast firm experience, Joseph has worked with Jury Impressions, a Richmond, Virginia-based jury consulting group since 2011. Throughout the last several years, Joseph has worked on over 100 focus groups with some of the best trial lawyers throughout Virginia on all types of personal injury cases, including but not limited to brain jury, tractor-trailer, wrongful death, spinal cord, defective products, premises liability, and medical malpractice.
In 2018, Joseph worked as co-counsel on several cases including one that resulted in a $4 million dollar settlement. The personal injury case involved a tractor trailer accident that left the plaintiff with serious medical issues including a brain injury.
In January 2020, Joseph chaired the VTLA Advanced Traumatic Brain Injury Retreat.
Joseph has been recognized by Best Lawyers as “Ones to Watch” since 2021 and by Virginia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star since 2019. Joseph is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Virginia Bar Association, the Richmond Bar Association, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, and the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. American Inn of Court. He currently serves as chair-elect for the VTLA’s Young Trial Lawyers Section, social chair of the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. American Inn of Court, a member of the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, and a member of the Development Committee of the AAJ New Lawyers Division.
