Attorney Gauthier is a very professional, caring person. Her staff is excellent and always responsive with emails and returning phone calls. Please beware--save yourself the heartache, time, and money. Run, don't walk. Please be cautious--protect yourself from heartache, wasted time, and unnecessary expenses. Leave immediately; don't hesitate. My experience with this firm was deeply disappointing and frustrating. From the moment the retainer fee was paid, the tone of the relationship shifted dramatically. What followed was a complete lack of empathy, poor communication, and a failure to provide even the most basic legal counsel. Despite repeated requests, I was never properly advised on the laws relevant to my case. Instead, I was met with vague responses and gaslighting whenever I asked for updates. Promises were made and never delivered. The only consistent thing was the billing--overcharged and unjustified. This was a straight-up money grab. Nearly $10,000 later, I had no resolution and had to finalize my case alone. I don't understand how professionals entrusted to serve the public can operate this way.
Hiring Avia Gauthier law firm was my greatest regret. I succeeded in walking away from an abusive marriage only to hire an Attorney who seem to gaslight her clients.Had a consultation which I made my case very clear to her and mentioned my concern which was my main reason for hiring her but she misled me, was mire concern about the retainers fee. she's very unprofessional & incompetent or not knowledgeable enough. Seeing how she was handling my case i decided to settle at mediation which she was very unhappy with and refused to follow up on my settlement even after paying her all she billed me. I personally had to contact the opposing counsel directly and he promptly responded saying my settlement had been received by Attorney Avia Gauthier over a month, I forwarded the email then, she admitted the check was misplaced. Going through most of her reviews I can see the pattern of denying her negative reviews, every one can't be telling lies. This is exactly who she is unfortunately.
