When planning to amend our will, we discovered that there was confusion because she made no effort to explain probate versus non-probate assets and how the Personal Representative will apply estate percentages we identified (which covered the total estate value and not probate assets only). Also, she recommended there was no need for a trust due to the estate's value. We learned recently from a trust attorney we had good reason to select a trust due to financial issues for one of the beneficiaries. She never asked us anything about the beneficiaries we included other than family relationships.
