It's one thing to meet expectations - quite another to exceed them. That is what Sarah Carson in Smith Currie's Charlotte office provided. To say I "went against the grain" would be an understatement - construction lawyers are to be back slapping men that only fear their next fishing opportunity. But Sarah brought something different. A type of stubborn know how with I'm not taking prisoners approach. Which, I hate to say, is just what we needed.

    Representative Matters: University Commons-Urbana, Ltd. v. Universal Constructors Inc., 304 F.3d 1331 (11th Cir. 2002). The Eleventh Circuit panel held the chair of an arbitration panel involving Ms. Carson's client, a Tennessee-based general contractor, demonstrated evident partiality towards the opposing party by failing to properly disclose his concurrent appearance as co-counsel with one of the attorneys representing the opposing party
    by meeting with the opposing party for possible lucrative representation opportunities during the arbitration proceedings. This failure to disclose such actions, before
    during the arbitration, led to this l
    mark decision cited by state
    federal courts,
    countless petitions for writs of certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States.
