New Direction Family Law is a law firm with an office in Raleigh, NC. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing family law, custody, child and spousal support and 2 other areas of law.
Many thanks to the New Direction Team who helps my ex-husband and I. Although it was a really tough uphill battle and we were in a "plan for the worst hope for the best" situation, Chris went up and beyond to help our family. I sincerely appreciate what we were able to accomplish with New Direction's help. New Direction isn't just a divorce firm its a family law firm. They helped my family in a difficult time. They made me feel valued when I expressed fears about the family court system (talk about an over burdened/understaffed system, look at family court), immediately responded to my questions, and billed reasonably. I highly recommend contacting them if you need family/divorce related legal guidance, or frankly a shoulder to cry on. They have those too. LOL Which bring me to the other reviews on here. It looks like you have a troll. Bandwagon jumps, then uses redundant vague insults under the guise of being anonymous. Ya'll don't deserve that.
I was very disappointed with the lack of up front communication with this group. They were sneaky about finding ways to get money. They didn't tell me that there was a fee for every email that the admin sent. She would attach the layer to even the most basic email (ex: me sending address for document), which then was a $30 fee per email. They need to communicate the fees much better. After spending $1,000 for one document, I then get blindsided by being asked for another $1,000. I know things come up, but proper communication is key. Especially during an emotional time where you feel vulnerable, it felt like they took advantage. Also, my initial gut instinct after speaking to Chris the first time was that he was cold and pretty rude but I let it slide, but I should've trusted my gut from the beginning.
