About Mr. Kenneth C. Haywood

Kenneth Haywood’s practice focuses primarily on the areas of business law including mergers and acquisitions and real estate related areas including eminent domain, zoning and land use. As a Raleigh native, Kenneth has seen the growth of the region and city and has played an active role in his community serving as Chairman on the City of Raleigh Board of Adjustment (appointed by the City Council). This role equipped him with extensive knowledge and insight on issues impacting businesses and individuals in Wake County.

EXPERIENCE

Kenneth has represented business owners in contract disputes, negotiations, employment matters, mergers and acquisitions and drafting contracts that protect their investment. He also has an extensive background in helping new businesses form the right legal entity to protect owners from legal liability.

In the area of eminent domain and land use, for over twenty-six years, he has represented clients in hundreds of land disputes and real estate title issues. In eminent domain cases, Kenneth’s clients include both property owners contesting the amount they have been offered for their property and governmental bodies acquiring land for a public purpose. This experience enables him to see both sides of these complex issues and uncover the most effective and efficient way to resolve them.

From small to large matters, Kenneth’s experience, combined with his business acumen, strategic approach and his ability to see the big picture for his clients, make him an obvious choice for many business owners or those facing land use or eminent domain issues.
