Ms. Katherine Hardersen King

I hired Katie king a few years ago to represent me against my husband in a custody battle. The custody battle was so I could move out of state with a daughter that has special needs. From the beginning when I first met with Katie she told me that winning a case to allow me to move out of state was very difficult, but she told me that we would fight as hard as we could. We ended up winning the case I won custody and was able to move. The one thing that I loved about Katie was that she always had me taking the highroad, even when we had the opportunity to go low.

Katie is not only an amazing person, she is an amazing attorney and was an answered prayer when I went through on of the hardest years of my life. She advocated for me and my daughter through a very messy divorce. Her kindness and compassion and fantastic legal advice and direction will always be appreciated. While I would never wish what I went through on anyone, I would not want anyone different to represent me !

Although somewhat expensive, she is straight forward, honest, and a good person. She isn't out to take all your money. She uses her time effectively. She is quick.

Absolutely Amazing woman. I felt very at home and at ease from the first time I met Katie, and I never feel judged or worried when I have to call her even if it is just for what I feel is a silly question. My divorce was far from messy, but there were paternity issues and custody battles, and Katie handled everything wonderfully, and I continue to keep in contact with her, just in case. I have also already recommended her a few times to friends!

I cannot check any of the boxes and was just amazed at her rating in general. In my opinion, she was the most unprofessional, uncaring, self-absorbed person I have ever worked with, did not put my family first. Her response time was egregious, but her listening skills were worse. In my opinion, she should not be a parent coordinator. I felt that she was condescending and completely misjudged every situation because she chose her side, from day one, and was going to stick with it. Even in, what I felt was, the detriment of my children. Watch out, definitely I think she is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Seems to just want to climb the ladder.

Having worked with Katie King as a PC is one of my biggest regrets as a parent and a client! Based on my experience, I found her to be biased, emotional, and unprofessional. She made every situation more complicated and created more drama between myself and my ex husband than was already present. Based on personal experience, I would NOT recommend working with her if you have children with special needs! She went against the advice of our child’s long time therapist, which I believe caused our family unnecessary hardship. I waited until both my children were over 18 to post this comment because I believe she is vindictive. But, I feel strongly enough about her poor performance to still post about my families horrific experience with her despite time passed. In my opinion, you should NOT hire Katie King as a PC!
