Hired Attorney John M. Oliver

Hired John for a litigation case. John did nothing much for almost a year, but kept sending me monthly Bill's that were questionable. Fired him, no longer wanted his service because he sent a bill which he charged me 6 different times to write a settlement offer, which should have been just 1 charge. When I complained to him about this, he said we were squared up regarding any monies. Realized he was scamming me. Told him I was getting a new attorney. Signed a letter from John stating his services are not needed, and there was no mention of me owing any monies. 3 weeks later, he sent me a bill for over $ 4,000.00 ? He thinks people do not know when they are being ripped off. Stay away. He is a scam artist of an attorney and just a slick talker. Will be looking into filing a complaint against him with the state bar for overcharging me for a year to the equivalent of $ 10,000.00.
