Attorney Blake Henry Larsen joined Raleigh Divorce Law Firm in June 2015 after working at the North Carolina Department of Justice – Division of Child Development and Early Education as an intern attorney under the guidance of the division’s Assistant Attorney Generals. For the past 2 consecutive years, he has been named a Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers, an honor given to no more than 2.5% of attorneys who practice family law in N.C.
Blake has exclusively practiced North Carolina family law since joining Raleigh Divorce Law Firm, where he has assisted clients with various family law issues including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, domestic violence and negotiation of separation agreements. He also works with clients in the mediation process and uses that experience to help clients attempt to resolve their family law issues with minimal conflict. Blake made the decision to become a family law attorney early in law school after taking several advanced family law courses and finding that practicing family law offered a unique opportunity to help others navigate through one of the most difficult and stressful times of their lives. Blake practices primarily in Wake County but will also travel to Durham, Johnston, Orange, Lee, Harnett, Franklin and Granville County.
Blake was born in Landstuhl, Germany and as the son of a United States Army officer lived in ten different states and countries before arriving in North Carolina. He graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. in Journalism, where he was the Sports Editor of the university newspaper. He went on to graduate from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida before he was finally able to make his first permanent move, choosing Raleigh, North Carolina as his new home.
Blake believes his extremely diverse cultural background and ability to effectively communicate and forge new relationships with others has helped him to better understand his clients and the issues they need help with. Blake is a member of the American Bar Association, the Family Law section of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division for both the North Carolina Bar Association and Wake County Bar Association.
