About Turk & Turk, P.C.

Edwin C. Stone began his practice in 1964 with the firm of Dalton, Poff & Turk. He became a partner in the firm in 1965. Those partners included John N. Dalton, who became Governor of Virginia; Richard H. Poff, who became a Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court; and James C. Turk, who became a Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. That firm specialized in insurance defense litigation. In recent years, the Firm has engaged in a more general practice but still concentrates in litigation. It also does a significant amount of health care law, real estate and estate planning and has a practice profile consistent with a general practice in a small city. The firm encourages its members to be active in local, civic and governmental affairs.

Hired Attorney James C. Turk Jr.

he represented me in a case where is was very easy for him to win and i was only going to get community service. Not only did he charge way more for his services compared to the alternatives but i ended up getting 5 times the amount of community service hours then he initially estimated when i first contracted him. It was obvious he did not spend very much time on my case.

Hired Attorney James C. Turk Jr.

Hired him and ask him to file a motion to dismiss on basis of wrong address on search warrant, on chain of custody sense cops do not have the evidence against me anymore. He said he would be didn't. Went to trial and he was confused as to what my witnesses were to testify to. He caused a mistrial for not asking the jury about my witnesses names and a ex husband ended up on my jury. Totally his fault and he wants 10,000 more dollars to continue I've paid around 20,000 so far.
