Comm Marian H Ito

Contrary to what I’ve heard and read, I actually really liked Commissioner Ito presiding over my hearing. She didn’t take crap from my ex. When my one and only insulting text message was read aloud by my ex’s attorney (I asked him what was so special about his new wife to justify why he was her b*tch and if he ever thought for himself), Comm Ito handled it well and then gave me a look when she essentially stated I wasn’t completely innocent either. I gave a slight nod and that was that. I imagine at least some of the reviews are from people who aren’t willing to see or admit fault in themselves. And others don’t understand the limits of the law and power of a commissioner. I can see why many are intimidated by her, but I found her forthright attitude very refreshing from the norm of Utah County. She told my ex everything I was thinking and explained to him why he can’t just do whatever he wants when he wants simply because he wants it. Thank you, Commissioner!

Commissioner Ito is terrible. She like many of the other Utah County Commissioners are their to collect a paycheck and could not care less about the facts of a case. She does not care to review the pleadings, she does not care to allow evidence as it will just take up her time. She allowed a MTE over withholding a child to be continued for over 7 months only to not review or allow evidence. She does not believe that the Code or Decree need to be followed instead just says both parties need to grow up. She is harmful to the legal profession, she is harmful to children and she is an embarrassment to the community.

She runs her court rashly, without regard to actual evidence or human dignity. Her ability or lack of ability to judge most resembles what would occur if one were facing a judge in the book “Alice in wonderland.”

Just in agreement with the context of every review here. She is more interested in asserting power than right or wrong or the details of a case. It is truly wild that she was somehow put in her position. Extraordinarily unprofessional.

Commisioner Ito is an absolute nightmare to work with. She has to be forced into making decisions and costs everyone time and money because she isn't willing to do her job properly. She ignored a TRO that was on ber desk for almost two weeks because she couldn't be bothered by a child who was being wrongfully witheld from his father. She does everything she can to pass the buck and will push out rulings as far as she possibly can. She is an absolute disgrace to our court system and is hurting families every day.

Marian Ito is not a public servant, she’s a tyrant. She treated both of the attorneys in the room like incompetent school boys and lambasted me for something I didn’t do. My attorney warned me that she was “an equal opportunity yeller” and I can see now what he meant. She made sure to try to make both sides unhappy as she doled out “justice.” She said “neither of these people are the good guys,” referring to me and my soon-to-be-ex-husband, “I’ll tell you who the good guys are, the kids, and we need to do what’s best for them.” I used to have the same bias that she does; a judgment for people who can’t get along in their marriage because it’s the kids who pay the price. What Ms. Ito can’t possibly understand is that I’m leaving an abusive marriage for the sake of my children, and she just ensured that they will suffer far more than they should. I hope her personal life is as miserable as she tries to make everyone else, and I hope her professional life crumbles.

I wonder why Ron Wilkinson owns commissioner Ito. I wonder why Ito doesn't care about the safety of children. I wonder why Ito allows someone with charges of domestic violence and strangling a child to have custody.

Marian Ito was the commissioner over the case between my ex wife and I. She was extremely one sided. She cut me off mid sentence, and highly favored my ex wife’s lawyer. I didn’t have a lawyer do to lack of funding. My ex wife’s husband (now) paid hers. Marian Ito had no regard for what was best for our children and instead targeted me by over inflating my weaknesses. She did not even put energy into looking at my ex wife’s situation yet ruthlessly attacked any deficiencies in mine. It is scary that any court system would support such unjust behavior and disrespect.

Horrible she went against every Utah law in the book, she favors one side, did not get a fair trial she will not let you finish a sentence, horrible people skills, the worst judge I have ever seen, I would have been better off hiring judge judy at least she would give you a fair tri

Hot-headed, uninformed, green, unprofessional, Easily, the dumbest, least professional commissioner, I have dealt with in my long career. Terrible Commissioner. She shouldn’t belong on the bench. Her parents should be embarrassed that they gave birth to her. She should quit and become a paralegal at best.
