Richard J. Land has practiced law in Rhode Island since 1996. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar, the Bar of the United States District Court for the State of Rhode Island and the Massachusetts Bar, and concentrates his practice in the areas of general business and corporate law, fiduciary matters, insolvency law, commercial real estate transactions, complex estate planning and commercial litigation. His clients include individuals and businesses with net worth/valuations ranging across a broad financial spectrum. Mr. Land has served as a court-appointed Receiver for a variety of business and has represented clients in all levels of state court in Rhode Island, in the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and the United State Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island. Mr. Land has lectured on topics including business entities, asset protection and estate planning.
Mr. Land graduated from Boston University School of Business, with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, in 1991, and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 1996. Mr. Land is a member of the Rhode Island and American Bar Associations, a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association Debtor and Creditor Committee and the Turnaround Management Association, Steering Committee.
