In October, 2006, Jeff was honored by the Democratic Party of Rhode Island for exemplary service and commitment to the principles of the Democratic Party. In 2008, Jeff was appointed by the Honorable William J. Murphy, Speaker of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, to the Special Legislative Commission to Study All Aspects of the State Pension and Retirement System, which convened for more than one year and ultimately issued a report in June, 2009.

Jeff is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Districts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit.
