I retained Steven H. Klein to safeguard $120,000+ in escrow/IOLA funds & urgently dismiss a fraudulent lawsuit filed by Heather Abissi & Stephen Santoro. Despite overwhelming evidence — including my complaint that triggered the NYS Dept of State Consent Order (File No. 2019-0764, Sept. 30, 2024) where notary Clemens Pantaleo admitted fraud w/Santoro, Abissi, & Patrick Ruto — Klein never filed the dismissal. Worse, he held my $120K for years w/zero Rule 1.15 compliance: no bank statements, edger, cancelled checks, reconciliations, or interest accounting. He lied about filing the required lis pendens — I had to prepare, file, & pay for it myself in Orange County. Klein burns through retainers in days w/minimal work, then demands thousands more or dumps you. I felt confident with the way Steven Klein asserted his confidence to take on my divorce case with my abusive ex. during a free consult. Two years later and paying him over $20k, I could not see my future further implode under his counsel. I hired another attorney, Kelly Brady, who thankfully, cleaned up Klein's mess.

Khalil Owens was your Client and you failed her. Sanchez did not use any of the evidence we gave her to prove the false allegations made on her, and Sanchez and Klein left us hanging on our last day and didn't even show up to court but instead gave us a lawyer that had no information on the court and settled the case behind our backs. WASTE OF MONEY!!! and if you say that Khalil Owens was not a client of yours, then I will be pursuing legal matters against you. We were misrepresented hands down. You allowed someone who has a history of child abuse, and domestic violence to have full custody over kids that they are actively abusing and didn't you want to use any evidence that we collected for you because you did not want to do your job so we literally had to do it for you and yet still you failed miserably and now we are $3500 short and in the same predicament. Every bad review on this firm is %100 real and this firm needs to be investigated and shut down for malpractice IMMEDIATELY!!!
